Adventure

Can you explore the world doing dangerous and stupid stuff, while making it a better place at the same time?

Well, I’m certainly going to try!

I love living on the edge.  I love danger and I love chaos.  It just works for me.  I also believe we should give back and leave the world a little better than how we found it.  So is it possible to combine adventure and philanthropy?  Absolutely!

Here are my upcoming adventures and events.  Feel free to join me, sponsor me, donate, or just watch the fun!

The Tucson Mayor’s office is hosting their annual Hats Off to Heroes celebration on November 14th, 2015, at Reid Park in Tucson.  They asked me to organize the military race and competition for the Tucson Veterans Day Cup.  All Arizona military and veteran organizations are eligible to compete for the cup and this year we will be making donations for the top three teams to the military/veteran charity of their choice.  This will be a fun event which includes a 5K run with a few “athletic challenges” sprinkled in, followed by team competition events.  The race is open to everyone, so even if you aren’t military or a veteran come out for the run.  Click the link for more information!

Well my epic Rickshaw Run adventure in India fizzled out over the summer when my teammates bailed on me.  Yes, I’m talking to you, Jim!  Ah, well, these things happen.  So right now, I’m still searching for my next great adventure, and after watching the classic motorcycle adventure documentary, “The Long Way Round”, I have a feeling it will have something to do with motorcycles!  I’ve been meaning to take an extended trip to Central and South America for a while now and I do have a motorcycle, so….

Check out the blog for upcoming ramblings about motorcycles in general and check out the link below for info on my embryonic motorcycle adventure.
